What Are Dental Implants?
Dental implants replace the root of a missing tooth with a small titanium or ceramic post. Once placed, the post naturally bonds with the jawbone through osseointegration. This creates a strong foundation for a crown, bridge, or denture that looks and functions like a natural tooth. Many patients appreciate how secure implants feel, and how closely they match their natural teeth in appearance.
A complete implant includes:
- A post that acts as the tooth root
- An abutment that connects the post to the restoration
- A crown or other artificial tooth that completes your smile

Hi, I'm Bonnie and I live in Manor on the lake. Most of my dental work throughout my mouth was done in my early 20s and almost every tooth in my mouth had been filled. I lost one of my front teeth and it was almost like an implant and it lasted till 2020 when it started loosening up. The dentist took it out, gave me a partial. I had to worry that the partial was going to fall out as it was eating. So if I wanted to eat for the rest of my life this was my best choice. Bonnie came in, she was missing some teeth in a I had a hard time chewing so we got a scan. We did our digital scans, we did our digital X-rays and we came with a plan for Bonnie to replace her teeth. That was one of my luckiest days being Doctor Connor. He just made me feel comfortable with the whole process and being able to find any restaurant I want to go to, whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner. Long term Bonnie, I want her to eat what she wants to eat. I want her to smile when she wants to smile. So basically I want her just to not worry about her teeth.

Benefits of Dental Implants
Implants do more than restore missing teeth. They support your oral health, your comfort, and your confidence. Many patients share that implants help them enjoy foods they once avoided and feel more at ease in everyday moments.
Key benefits include:
- A natural look that blends with your existing teeth
- Steady function that supports clear speech and comfortable chewing
- Long-term success when cared for with good oral hygiene
- Support for the jawbone to help prevent bone loss over time
Types of Dental Implants Offered
Every patient has different needs, and your treatment plan should reflect that. Our practice offers single-tooth implants, implant-supported bridges, full-arch solutions such as All-on-4, and same-day implant options for qualified patients. Your periodontist will help you understand which option aligns with your oral health and long-term goals.
The Dental Implant Process
Your implant journey begins with a thorough consultation. During this visit, we assess your bone structure, gum health, and overall needs. We also learn what matters most to you, so your treatment plan feels personal and reassuring.
The typical process includes:
- A detailed evaluation and customized plan
- Placement of the implant post during the procedure
- A healing period where the bone bonds with the implant
- Attachment of the abutment and final crown

Throughout the process, we stay connected and available to answer questions, explain healing expectations, and help you feel comfortable from start to finish.
